Target Group
Managers in an investigative role.
Aim of Course
To ensure that those responsible for carrying out investigations under the Safeguarding Adults procedures and managers responsible for co-ordinating Safeguarding Adults cases understand their roles and are able to carry out their responsibilities confidently and effectively.
Learning Outcomes
• Understand the process of investigating and / or co-ordinating Safeguarding Adults allegations • Understand the different roles and responsibilities within the Safeguarding Adults process and the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach • Be confident about assessing initial information, planning an investigation, gathering evidence and co-ordinating cases, including cases where mental capacity issues are involved • Be able to assess and analyse the risk of current and future abuse and develop a robust protection plan
