Target Group
Essential for all front line B&NES Health & Social Care staff who potentially come into contact with individuals with ASC’s
Aim of Course
The course aims to develop staff’s knowledge and competencies with regard to working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
Learning Outcomes
• Participants will develop a broad knowledge of Autism Spectrum Conditions (including Asperger syndrome). • Participants will gain practical Knowledge of theoretical principles and how these relate to supporting individuals. • Participants will gain practical skills to apply when supporting individuals, and setting up services for people with Autism Spectrum Conditions
Additional Information
The course is delivered by Matt Trerise, a specialist trainer who has 12 years of experience in supporting people with ASC in a wide range of care settings, including residential, low secure and in the community. Matt currently works for BASS Autism Services for Adults, a nationally recognised specialist diagnostic service, delivering training and clinical supervision to front line staff across the care pathway.
