Who is this service for?

The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is an intensive home visiting programme offered to young mums who are under 20 years old and having their first child.

What we do

FNP is a voluntary programme which means you don’t have to have it but it is based on many decades of research which has shown it can help you to have a healthy pregnancy, improve your child’s health and development and reach your goals and aspirations. We operate across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, but do have limited places which means not everybody who wants the programme, can have it.

The programme we offer begins in early pregnancy and aims to improve the future health and well-being of the child, as well as support parents in planning for their future. If enrolled on the programme you would be allocated a nurse who will visit you about every 2 weeks until your child is 2 years old. You would then be transferred to a Health Visitor.

Find out more via this video which was produced with a client and outlines her story.
