The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is an intensive home visiting programme offered to young mums who are under 20 years old and having their first child.
FNP is a voluntary programme which means you don’t have to have it but it is based on many decades of research which has shown it can help you to have a healthy pregnancy, improve your child’s health and development and reach your goals and aspirations. We operate across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, but do have limited places which means not everybody who wants the programme, can have it.
The programme we offer begins in early pregnancy and aims to improve the future health and well-being of the child, as well as support parents in planning for their future. If enrolled on the programme you would be allocated a nurse who will visit you about every 2 weeks until your child is 2 years old. You would then be transferred to a Health Visitor.
Do you know a member of staff within our Family Nurse Partnership Service who has gone above and beyond your expectations and deserves to be recognised for delivering an exceptional service. Each month we choose an individual or team to be our Sirona ‘Star’.
Tell us about them today, we would love to hear from you. You can email us using the form below or drop us a line at the following address: Communications Office (2nd Floor), Kingswood Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 9TR.
