Our Improving Access to COPD Therapies (IMPACT) Team provides services to patients who have a confirmed diagnosis of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Who is this service for?

Any adult over 18 years of age who lives in the Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) area or is registered with a B&NES GP.

How does this service work / what's involved in this service?

We offer:

  • A ‘hospital at home’ service for people with chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema, also known as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • An Oxygen assessment service for patients currently using oxygen who are registered with a B&NES GP and are over 18 years old
  • An Exercise and Education programme with classes offering light exercise and education – pulmonary rehabilitation

You can be referred to this service by your:

  • Practice Nurse
  • Community Matron
  • Respiratory Consultant
  • IMPACT team member
