Congratulation to Sarah Button, Dee Buchanan and Emma Evans who represented Sirona at the Nursing Times Awards final in London last night.
Sirona won in the Learning Disabilities Nursing category for their innovative Journey to Wellbeing project jointly run by our Bath Locality Learning Disability Community Nursing Service and Sirona’s Health Improvement Service.
The Journey to Wellbeing is a fun, accessible and interactive toolkit which has been developed in partnership with Creativity Works and helps to support communication, change lifestyles, empower service users to participate and make decisions as well as raising awareness of learning disability services.
Sarah said: “The aim of the toolkit is it will enable the understanding of the consequences of personal actions associated with health and wellbeing in a fun, accessible and interactive manner and will also help with the national initiative of Making Every Contact Count (MECC).”
The toolkit was created with the help of the Sirona Foundation.
A fabulous achievement. Our congratulations go to both teams.
