Who is this service for?

The Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service assesses, diagnoses and treats people who have a problem with their musculoskeletal system e.g. joints, spine, ligaments, tendons, muscles and spinal / peripheral nervous system.

What we do

As well as the help outlined above, the service also provides group exercise classes for lower limb and shoulder conditions, pilates classes and runs musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinics are in various locations across North Somerset

How do I access this service?

You need to be referred by a healthcare professional to access this service.

Cancelled/missed appointments

If you are unable to make your appointment with the Musculoskeletal service due to urgent reasons, we ideally need a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to reschedule your appointment. To cancel your appointment please contact our telephone bookings line, on 01275 546777, during the following hours:

Monday-Thursday: 9.00 to 16.30
Friday: 9.00 to 16.00

Outside of these hours there is the option to leave a voicemail regarding your cancellation. However you will need to call back within working hours to re-arrange an appointment. If the service does not receive contact regarding a re-booking within one week of the cancellation then you will be discharged back to your referring clinician.

If you fail to attend your appointment without contacting the department or cancel more than two appointments within the course of treatment then you will be discharged from the service with a letter to your referring clinician.
