World Mental Health Day Workshops and events- October

10th – 15th October

The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is psychological and mental health first aid.

For us this means raising awareness of how to help at the early signs of mental ill health, local organisations are putting on 17 courses and events, throughout the week, helping people to develop their Wellbeing, skills & knowledge.

Get involved:    By booking yourself on a course, promoting to your clients, friends, neighbours

Eat, Talk, Think (Roman style) Gazebo

SATURDAY 8TH OCTOBER – 10:00 AM  – 3:00 PM.     (Eleven innovative activities to engage the public)

Bottom of Milsom Street, Central Bath

Lots of different volunteers and staff providing public-facing interaction and to promote the workshops and events happening the rest of the week

Fun and stigma reducing style activities run by different organisations in slots from 10 am – 3pm.

 

Get involved On the day or just come along with your family and friends. We still need people to get involved in:

  • Flash Mob- People assemble suddenly near gazebo, perform an unusual & brief act/dance, quickly disperse, to entertain.
  • Wellbeing Cakes       Bake some cakes, representing poor mental health by being dark in the middle and sunny on the outside – to give out
  • Video Flash Mob       From different angles, to create a great final video
