Administrator/ Receptionist – MSK Service SIR452READ

The MSK service delivers physiotherapy and triage services for people with musculoskeletal problems or orthopaedic conditions in the South Gloucestershire area. Our aim is to offer excellent assessment and treatment of people with musculoskeletal problems in a timely manner; clinicians are predominantly physiotherapists but we do also have GPs working for the service.

The admin team support the clinical team by booking appointments, dealing with telephone enquiries, typing/formatting letters and all other administrative support tasks to contribute to delivering excellent services to our patients.

If so, we are looking for a dynamic and innovative Patient Flow Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Discharge Team, part of the Integrated Care Bureau (ICB) based at Southmead Hospital.

The ICB is an innovative multiagency and multi-professional service that works to make sure people leave as soon as they are safe to do so following a hospital stay. The members of the ICB support the ward staff to determine a person’s ongoing needs to facilitate their discharges at the earliest opportunity: more often a return to the person’s usual residence if they are safe to do so (a ‘HomeFirst’ ethos) or to ‘step down’ into a rehabilitation, re-ablement and recovery bed (3Rs) to continue their recovery before going home.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to learn and will provide support to the Discharge team, with a mix of administrative and patient-facing tasks. This will include being responsible for providing data to support ICB information sharing ‘huddles’, attending daily board rounds and tracking service users that are being reviewed by the team. They will be supported with regular supervision and guidance and be encouraged to undertake training and development work as appropriate

We have an exciting opportunity for a Telecare Technician to work with the Telecare Team which are based at the Charlton House in Keynsham.

The post will involve working across Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucester in providing a service to clients living in their own homes. You need the ability to liaise with families, carers and other professional staff within the call centre, health, social services and voluntary agencies.

The service will include driving a vehicle for delivery, installation and maintenance of specialist equipment, also cleaning, maintaining and where necessary repairing equipment with the completion of safety checks.
