The Bank

Our bank team of workers cover a wide range of jobs that includes nurses, specialist health professionals, administrators, care workers and kitchen/domestic assistants. They all provide a vital role which is key to our success.

Joining our Bank is much the same as applying for a permanent or fixed term post; in that you will need the same skills and experience, and work to the same high quality standards.

You’ll also need to go through the same selection process and pass the relevant background checks. Of course, along with the flexibility of working when and where you choose, we will also ensure you are appropriately trained and once on board, you will have access to our on-line booking system to view available shifts and plan a work pattern that suits you.

Bank workers are recruited centrally by our in-house bank team based at Kingswood Civic Centre, South Gloucestershire .

Bank Administrators

Sirona care and health currently has various bank opportunities available within our Children’s Health Services at the Kingswood Hub and in Eastgate House, Bristol. We will also have admin positions becoming available in Whitchurch.

To work within Sirona as an Administrator you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills with awareness and understanding of confidentiality and the ability to promote good working relationships. You will need to have a flexible and adaptable approach to conflicting demands/deadlines and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will also need to demonstrate a “Taking it Personally” approach.

Examples of Bank duties will include:
•Data entry of new referrals onto reporting systems and providing accurate reports as requested – including collation and presentation
•Organisation and maintenance of efficient filing systems for patient notes and related material utilising both electronic and manual systems adhering to patient confidentiality
•To be responsible for booking care with external agencies as requested by the clinicians and to update information as care needs change
•To arrange meetings and appointments on behalf of the team including providing an agenda , taking notes and circulating to attendees
•Typing and distribution of letters and reports
•Preparation of medical records.
•Arranging patient appointments.
•Updating in house computer systems

Working on our Bank, you will be given access to the Allocate Online Booking System which will allow you to view Bank shifts and give your availability.
We are currently recruiting for the March / April intake of bank staff. .
The rate of pay ranges from£9.83 to £11.40per hour with flexible hours and shifts available. The rate of pay is dependent on systems knowledge and experience required for a particular role.

Bank Housekeeping Assistants and Catering Assistants

Domestic Assistant and Catering Assistant vacancies have arisen within the Support Services Department at Cleeve Court Community Resource Centre, in Twerton, Bath and Charlton House in Keynsham.

Applicants must be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable, and will need to enjoy meeting and working with people in a caring environment.

No experience necessary as training will be provided.

These roles are about more than just domestic and kitchen work, it’s about helping to make sure that the needs of the people we support are catered for. You don’t need to have worked in a care environment before but it’s important that you’re good with people and able to show warmth, kindness and understanding towards the individuals in our care. If you have some catering experience, that’s even better but don’t worry if not as we’ll provide full training and help you work towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.

Uniform is provided.

Our normal operating hours are between 7am-7pm and we can offer a range of flexible hours on Bank. Please specify in your application whether you would like to apply for Catering or Housekeeping (or both!)

Bank Weekday Rate:
£8.80 per hour

Weekend Rate (Saturdays, Sundays and BH):
£13.20 per hour

Support Workers J62-CLEEVEBANKJAN

Exciting things are happening at Cleeve Court!

Cleeve Court is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Twerton, Bath. It has 2 floors which are registered to provide care and support for 45 people needing residential and dementia care. There is also a range of meeting rooms and offices for other organisations on the ground floor.

We have a number of casual shifts available which includes the early shifts (starting at 8am - 2pm or 3pm) and late shifts (2pm or 3pm ending at 9pm or 10pm). We also have shifts available on weekends which enhancements are paid.

Rates of Pay for Support Workers on a casual basis:

Day Shifts: £9.83 per hour

Nights & Weekends: £14.75 per hour

Please note that these hourly rates include annual leave supplements.

Cleeve Court is classified as a Dementia Care Matters Butterfly Service® home which has achieved Level 2 on the Qualitative Observational audit. This audit was conducted in June 2017 and described the Cleeve Court ‘Level 2 (out of a possible 9) – A highly skilled, loving care with a high degree of person-centred dementia care and potential to develop into a Level 1 home’.

The CQC inspection of September 2016 rated Cleeve Court as ‘Good’. To help Cleeve Court reach its next goal of becoming a ‘Level 1 home’ and achieve an ‘Excellent’ CQC rating, we are looking to recruit a team of motivated casual (bank) Support Workers!

The successful applicants will support the residents with some or all aspects of daily living, including personal care, activities and maintaining contact with family and friends when required. You will help with planning and organising activities for residents, helping residents to maintain personal hygiene and assist residents and their families in the provision of care during illness and at end of life.
