The Bank

Our bank team of workers cover a wide range of jobs that includes nurses, specialist health professionals, administrators, care workers and kitchen/domestic assistants. They all provide a vital role which is key to our success.

Joining our Bank is much the same as applying for a permanent or fixed term post; in that you will need the same skills and experience, and work to the same high quality standards.

You’ll also need to go through the same selection process and pass the relevant background checks. Of course, along with the flexibility of working when and where you choose, we will also ensure you are appropriately trained and once on board, you will have access to our on-line booking system to view available shifts and plan a work pattern that suits you.

Bank Palliative Care Support Worker – BANKEOLSW

We are looking for a team of Support Workers to join our Bank and work with our End of Life Co-ordination Centre, supporting adults who have a life limiting illness and are in the last few weeks or days of life. This is a challenging but rewarding role, and will involve working in people’s homes in the Kingswood and Severnvale area of South Gloucestershire, covering areas such as Yate, Patchway, Filton, Bradley Stoke, Kingswood etc providing crucial personal care, comfort and support.

The role will involve providing personal care, assistance with daily living tasks, continence care, pressure area care, prompting medication and other health related tasks. You will work in pairs and be expected to travel between homes depending on the needs of our service users.

Ideally you will already have experience of providing personal care, with excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds. You’ll need a friendly and caring personality with a comforting and supportive approach. You’ll also need resilience to deal with difficult and sometimes upsetting situations.

Salary:
Bank Rate: £9.83 p/h weekday, £14.75 p/h nights and weekends

6 hour or 5 hour shifts (8am - 2pm & 4pm - 9pm)

Charlton House is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Keynsham, Bristol. Charlton House has become a home for people who need both nursing care and those who do not need a nurse but do need a higher level of staffing. This is a friendly homely care establishment with a caring team.

Support Workers (Casual) – CLEEVEBANKSEP

Exciting things are happening at Cleeve Court!

Cleeve Court is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Twerton, Bath. It has 2 floors which are registered to provide care and support for 45 people needing residential and dementia care. There is also a range of meeting rooms and offices for other organisations on the ground floor.

We have a number of casual shifts available which includes the early shifts (starting at 8am - 2pm or 3pm) and late shifts (2pm or 3pm ending at 9pm or 10pm). We also have shifts available on weekends which enhancements are paid.

Cleeve Court is classified as a Dementia Care Matters Butterfly Service® home which has achieved Level 2 on the Qualitative Observational audit. This audit was conducted in June 2017 and described the Cleeve Court ‘Level 2 (out of a possible 9) – A highly skilled, loving care with a high degree of person-centred dementia care and potential to develop into a Level 1 home’.

The CQC inspection of September 2016 rated Cleeve Court as ‘Good’. To help Cleeve Court reach its next goal of becoming a ‘Level 1 home’ and achieve an ‘Excellent’ CQC rating, we are looking to recruit a team of motivated casual (bank) Support Workers!

The successful applicants will support the residents with some or all aspects of daily living, including personal care, activities and maintaining contact with family and friends when required. You will help with planning and organising activities for residents, helping residents to maintain personal hygiene and assist residents and their families in the provision of care during illness and at end of life.
