Sirona care & health is committed to providing services that all of us would be happy to receive ourselves or for our loved ones – with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
Following the national Francis Report – Hard Truths – which highlighted serious failings in the NHS which all health care organisations needed to consider in the context of their own services, Sirona’s non-executive directors chaired a series of work groups to review their findings.
The Francis Report recommendations were around care providers improving Communication , Care , Compassion , Putting Service Users First, Fundamental Standards of Behaviour , Effective Complaints handling, Openness, Transparency and Candour and Leadership throughout their organisations.
Lisa Cronan, Professional Lead for Nursing and Patient Safety, presented an annual review of actions to date that Sirona has taken to our Board in the summer. The Board was told the key aims from the Francis Report’s recommendations were embedded within Sirona’s day to day operations.
Among the initiatives highlighted is Sirona’s ethos of Taking it Personally which has been developed by staff into a charter for staff with individuals we care for at its heart. It recently won a national award.
We are committed to both listening and responding to the views of our users, carers and the wider community and if you have any comments you wish to make, then do please contact our Customer Care Service.
