The Community Children’s Health Partnership (CCHP) Sirona provides a range of services to the Bristol and South Gloucestershire communities. We are currently recruiting for a band 8a Clinical Psychologist alongside a team of 2/3 Clinical Psychologists within Community Pediatrics, this is a substantive post to join our community based teams across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.This post provides an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative practitioner.

We are looking for a practitioner to ensure high standards of clinical care are maintained at all times by providing strong, effective professional and clinical leadership to our team of clinical psychologists.

The focus of the work will be working autonomously within a range of outpatient settings offering highly Specialist Assessment, treatment which is evidence based, collaboratively with young people and their families. Working collaboratively with GP’s advising of specialist care and treatment plans for children in adherence with NMC guidance and in conjunction with the child or young person’s Community Paediatrician where appropriate.

The post holder will lead on the on going review and further development of existing care pathways, policies and audit of service outcomes, develop and review waiting list initiatives, working collaboratively with colleagues, managers and referrers achieving agreed targets. The post holder will have excellent communication skills working across multi-disciplinary teams.Delivering training and supervision to the clinical psychology team.

Provide a range of appropriate, evidence based clinical interventions informed by assessed individual need. The post holder will be working with children and young people with serious and complex mental health needs often in complex family situations displaying a range of risk type behaviors. Working with a wide variety of child mental health problems, acrossthe whole age range, reflecting all levels of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing situations.

Available to travel within the community across Bristol and South Gloucestershire to attend visits, meetings and clinical bases is essential.
