An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic person with excellent organisation and administrative skills.

Are you interested in working in the community within the South Glos locality based between Courtside Surgery, Downend Clinic and the Orchard Medical Centre? Then we would like you to join us as a community Ward Clerk.

The aim of the role of community ward clerk is to provide administrative support to the community matrons and the “vitual community ward” of people with long term conditions including case load management and cordinating and minute taking at the Multi-professional team meetings held in GP practices in the local area on a weekly basis.

The community Matrons are  supportive and hard working with a real commitment to delivering excellent patient centred care as part of a wider team. We are looking for people with good decision-making, organisational, prioritisation and time management skills who are also able to work alone as well as part of a team to support the community matrons with coordinating their caseload.

You will need good computer and communications skills. Some clinic reception duties will also be required.  You will need to form excellent working relationships with all levels of staff in a variety of settings including GP practice and hospital staff. The hours of work are between 8.30am and 5pm. This role can be considered as a job share.
