Change to residential services in Bath & North East Somerset

By 1st October 2020 No Comments

Three Community Resource Centres and five Extra Care facilities in Bath and North East Somerset will be run by the Council from 1 October 2020.

Work has been ongoing over the last year to ensure a smooth and safe transition of the services from Sirona care & health which has run them since 2011.

The facilities are Charlton House in Keynsham, Cleeve Court in Bath, Combe Lea in Midsomer Norton along with Hawthorn Court, Keynsham, Greenacres in Midsomer Norton, The Orchard, St John’s Court and Avondown in Bath.

Residents, tenants and their families and staff have been kept fully informed throughout the process by both Sirona and Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The Community Resource Centres and Extra Care facilities are people’s homes and the Council is committed to continuing to provide high quality care and support. No centres are being closed and, following transfer to the Council, it will be the same staff providing care and support to residents and tenants; on the first day the only change for people will be a different lanyard or uniform being worn.
