Care and Compassion
Simon Knighton, Chairman of Sirona Care & Health gives a personal commitment to care and compassion for all people cared for by his organisation
Simon Knighton, Chairman of Sirona Care & Health which is one of the largest providers of integrated health and social care services in England has expressed his personal commitment to ensuring that all people cared for by Sirona are treated with care and compassion. This comes in response to the findings of the recently published Which? Report on domiciliary care for the elderly across England.
“Although Sirona does not provide paid domiciliary care, which is the main focus of the Which? report”, says Simon, “we do provide a huge amount of care in an individual’s own home and I would be appalled if I heard stories like this about Sirona staff.”
“Within Sirona Care & Health we ask all our staff to provide care and support as they would choose to receive it themselves or for their loved ones and to take personal responsibility for the standards we deliver. Whilst people are in our care we want them to know that as well as giving them the care and treatment they need, we will also make sure they are treated with dignity and respect by everyone with whom they come into contact.”
“I am proud of the staff we have in Sirona at every level and I know that all staff believe it is your right to be treated with care and kindness and it is my job to make sure this is the case.”
“Sometimes we will get things wrong and not meet these high standards”, says Simon. “If this does happen then I want people to feel they can contact our customer care team on 01225 831430 who I know will make sure we put it right for them and for others”.
